The Coalition to Advance Public Safety (CAPS)unveil Grants totaling $500,00O in Baton rouge.



The Coalition to Advance Public Safety (CAPS), in conjunction with Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, unveil the beneficiaries of its community violence intervention grants, amounting to a total of $500,000 in support. The official announcement was made at 10 a.m., located at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, in Baton Rouge.

These CAPS grants are poised to fortify organizations committed to fostering more secure, healthier, and livelier neighborhoods within Baton Rouge. The grantees are granted the flexibility to allocate the funds towards diverse capacity-enhancing expenditures. These include investments in training, technology enhancements, policy formulation, strategic planning, partnership initiatives, program extension, and infrastructure enhancements, such as facilitating payroll and hiring additional staff members.

The CAPS grants are part of a nationwide initiative aimed at empowering organizations to curtail violence within their respective communities.
