Vera Lee Robinson

Vera Lee has a deep passion for building equity in community-based programs.

Dr. Vera Lee Robinson was born in Chicago, with a lived experience from the Englewood community.  She used education as a catalyst out of the cycle of violence, and endeavored to return to help those, who like her, strive to become leaders who 'give back' to their community.  Vera Lee has gained a deep passion for building equity in community-based programs, and advocates to strengthen pathways for reentry and justice-impacted citizens.  She advises community-based public safety organizations on best practices, and self-sustaining strategies for success.

Dr. Vera Lee is an experienced Panelist/Public Speaker on DEIBA,Workforce Development, and SME for the State of Illinois Pre-Apprenticeship Program, Department of Commerce and Economics Opportunity, and Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program.  Vera Lee thoroughly enjoys singing, traveling and has a deep passion for art, photography, music.  As her way of 'giving back', she has started her own Community-Based Leadership Development LLC - Knowledge Network Opportunity Workforce (KNOW).
