Rob has spent the last 20 years in the racial and social justice movements organizing low income Black and Brown folk in South Los Angeles.  As a former organizer and associate director, Rob brings his gifts and talents of active listening, personal development, leadership development, and facilitation to identify and organically increase organizational capacity, efficiency, and performance.  Rob is a professional life coach who helps people and organizations overcome barriers and realize their greatest potential.

Currently, Rob is the Director of Training, Technical Assistance, and Capacity Building with the Community-Based Public Safety Collective.  Rob’s organizing experiences were formed at Families to Amend California’s Three Strikes (FACTS), Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education (SCOPE) / Action for Grassroots Empowerment and Neighborhood Development Alternatives (AGENDA), and Community Asset Development Re-Defining Education (CADRE).   During Rob’s time organizing South LA parents around school Pushout and the school to prison pipeline, his 5-year-old son, Myles, made transition after a two-year battle with brain cancer.  Coaching and mentoring saved his life through and after that time.  Those experiences solidified Rob’s knowledge and faith in the healing and evolutionary impact of coaching and personal development.

Since co-founding Diving Within LLC with his wife in 2017, Rob has leveraged his experiences and gifts to support community-based organizations, including the Newark Community Street Team (NCST), philanthropic foundations, businesses, couples, and individuals through capacity building, personal development, and leadership development.
